Review Policy

Hello Authors!  If you’re reading this and hoping for a review, then:

1) Congratulations on writing a book!  That’s a huge accomplishment and I’d love to help you get the word out about your work.

2) Here is my review policy:

At this time I welcome any authors of middle grade or young adult novels/graphic novels of all genres to contact me for a review of their book.  If your book is non-fiction or does not have a specific age range but would likely be deemed appropriate for young adult and/or middle grade levels I would also be happy to review it. Books that are sent in for review are also likely to get publicity on my Instagram, Twitter, and Goodreads accounts, although that is not guaranteed.  I am willing to review ARCs or books that are already published in any hard copy format, .pdf, or an e-book format that is compatible with Amazon Kindle.  All reviews on my blog are 100% honest and my own opinion, so reviews are not guaranteed to be positive.  Books that are well-edited before sent in for review are likely to get a better review simply because they are a lot easier to enjoy.  Please only send in review requests for books that you authored/published.  If you don’t think your book meets this criteria you are still welcome to fill out the form and I will still look into it but it is typically unlikely that I will agree to review it.

Reviews are not guaranteed to be up right away but usually will be posted about 1-2 weeks after I receive the book (depending on the length of the book).  If you are hoping to have a review up by a certain date please let me know when/if I email you with interest.  My reviews are posted on my blog, on Goodreads, on Amazon, and on Barnes & Noble.  If you are hoping to have the review promoted in any other places or not promoted in one of those places please also let me know about that.

I welcome you to send in your requests. I love reading all varieties of books and would love to help newer authors get publicity for their books!

I review on a 1-5 star system, using half stars when necessary.

5 stars: I absolutely loved this book and would definitely reread it.

4 stars: This book has a couple flaws but I still really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

3 stars: This book was okay, but I had some issues with it.

2 stars: I didn’t particularly like this book but I got through it.

1 stars: I had a hard time finishing this book – not my cup of tea.

Fill out this form if you’re interested in having your book reviewed on my blog.  The information filled out in the form will only be used for responding to your request.  Multiple requests per author can be submitted but only one request per book.  Thank you!
